The One With the Fake Party

Rachel throws Emily a fake going-away party so she can seduce Joshua, and the night ends with a split lip, a confession, and Joshua asking for time, while Ross decides Emily is worth more than two weeks.

What happens

• Phoebe, pregnant and vegetarian, discovers that Joey's bologna sandwich is the only thing she wants to eat.
• Rachel writes a note for Joshua and plans to hide it in the pocket of a coat she sells him.
• Ross tells the others that Emily flies back to London in two days, and that they agreed from the start on two weeks and nothing more.
• Joshua mentions his first date since his divorce and says he is not ready to see anyone, so Rachel takes the note back and tears it up.
• Rachel stages a surprise going-away party for Emily purely as an excuse to invite Joshua, and Emily thanks Ross for a party he had no part in.
• Phoebe gives in and eats meat, and Joey offers to stop eating it himself until the baby is born so that her total stays even.
• Rachel changes into her old cheerleading outfit and performs a cheer for Emily, then falls and loses a tooth.
• Rachel fails to get her bra off in front of Joshua and admits she lured him there to seduce him, and Joshua says he likes her but needs time after his marriage.
• Rachel points out to Ross that Emily spent the evening learning about him, and Ross realises he does not want the two weeks to be the end.
• Joshua comes back, tells Rachel that nothing he said has changed but he wants to see her anyway, and they go inside for coffee.
