The One Where the Stripper Cries

Thursday, 5 February 2004

At a college reunion Ross and Chandler confess old betrayals over Missy Goldberg and Rachel, uncovering that Ross's first kiss with Rachel was really Monica; Joey bombs on Pyramid and Phoebe's bachelorette stripper turns out to be fifty.

What happens

• Monica announces that Joey has been booked as a celebrity guest on Pyramid, on the same night as Phoebe's bachelorette party and the college reunion Ross and Chandler are attending.
• In a flashback to college, Ross and Chandler both want Missy Goldberg and promise each other that neither of them will ask her out, and back at the reunion Chandler releases Ross from that promise.
• Joey keeps giving away the answers inside his own clues, and his partner Gene tells him afterwards that the lost round cost him ten thousand dollars.
• Phoebe finds out that Rachel has planned a quiet tea party and tells her she wants a stripper, so Rachel promises there is more coming.
• Missy agrees to a date with Ross and then mentions that she and Chandler used to make out in the science lab after hours.
• The stripper Rachel found in an old phone book turns out to be Roy, an exhausted fifty-year-old man, who overhears the women insulting him, stops the dance and demands his three hundred dollars in tears.
• Ross accuses Chandler of breaking the pact, Chandler counters with the name Adrienne Turner, and a flashback to a party in 1987 shows Chandler walking in on Ross kissing her.
• Chandler admits he took revenge that same night, and the flashback shows him kissing a very drunk Rachel after telling her he is in a band.
• Phoebe suggests Roy teach stripping instead of performing, and then asks him to finish his last dance for them.
• Ross says that night was his own first kiss with Rachel, but Chandler insists he left Rachel on a different bed, and Monica realises she was the girl under the coats and that Ross gave her her first kiss.
