The One Without the Ski Trip

The group leaves Ross behind for a ski weekend at Rachel's sister's cabin, breaks down on the way, and has to be rescued by Ross himself, who then forces a truce with Rachel.

What happens

• Rachel invites the group to a lingerie show, and they turn her down because Ross claimed that night first.
• Chandler is caught smoking again and blames his parents' divorce for starting him on it.
• Rachel returns and asks the group first about a ski weekend at her sister's cabin, and they all accept.
• Ross learns the group is leaving for the weekend and refuses every offer to stay behind with him.
• Rachel slams the cab door at a rest stop and locks the keys inside.
• Phoebe surrenders her bra so Joey can use the underwire to open the door, and then the cab runs out of gas.
• Ross turns up at Carol's, interrupts her anniversary dinner with Susan, and settles in to talk about the breakup.
• Phoebe phones Ross for help, Ross refuses, and Carol hands him her keys and shames him into going.
• Ross arrives at the rest stop, Rachel refuses to let him join the trip, and the fight reveals that Monica and Joey have been taking his side.
• Phoebe makes Ross and Rachel promise to be civil for the group's sake, and Ross drives home alone rather than spoil the weekend.
